Spring Court of Honor-2005
Everybody arrived early to find out what we were going to do for the Court
of Honor. People performing skits practiced. Fife and drum corps
practiced as well. We were sure the audience was going to get an
entertaining show!
First, we had a delicious meal! The entrees included chicken and lasagna.
And there were some mouth-watering desserts.
After the meal, we saw a rather entertaining skit about what happens when
people change the channel too fast on the TV. Everybody laughed.
Then the real ceremony began. Candles were lit representing the 12
points of the Scout law. Awards were given for rank and for merit
badges and for Under-32 patches.
A demonstration on traditional bow-making (archery) ended the program for
the evening. The Scouts and their parents had all had a great time.
And Friends of Scouting exceeded its goal for contributions!
