Amazing Maize Maze

Several scouts from Troop 53 went to Cherry Hill Orchards to try their

orienteering skills. The theme for the maize was “A Century of Flight.”

The scouts split into 2 groups and began their quest. They object is to exit

the maze in the shortest amount of time. But there is a catch. There are 15

different mailboxes throughout the maze that give you clues that you tape to

your map. Not only do you want to be the first to exit, but you must also find

all 15 clues. The first group to exit made it in 87 minutes, while the second

group found the exit in 90 minutes.

Other activities for the day included a maze made of straw bales, a pumpkin shoot, a giant slide,

and a mini dirt bike racecourse. Everyone had a grand old time.
