Joshua Miller Awarded Scouting's Highest Rank
Boy Scout Troop 53 of Maytown held an Eagle Court of Honor at St. Mark's
United Methodist Church in Mount Joy on Saturday, June 2, 2007. With
scouts, family, and friends present, Joshua Miller was awarded Scouting's
highest honor -- the Eagle Scout Award.
Josh Miller is the son of Brian and Karen Miller of 1314 Ironbridge Road,
Columbia, PA. As an active member of Troop 53 Josh currently serves as a
Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. He previously was elected Senior Patrol
Leader by the troop and has served as Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol
Leader, and Troop Guide. He is an elected member of Scouting's honor
society, the Order of the Arrow.
Josh and his family attend St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Mount Joy.
He is a student at Manheim Central High School, where he is a member of the
orchestra, participated in Odyssey of the Mind, and is a member of the
National Honor Society. His Eagle Scout project was the construction of
shade pavilions for the Manheim Community Pool.
