Patrick Cassidy of Maytown Receives Eagle Scout Award

Boy Scout Troop 53 of Maytown is honored to announce that Patrick Cassidy has received his Eagle Scout Award. Patrick is the son of Mike and Jean Casssidy of 104 E. High Street, Maytown, PA. The Eagle Court of Honor ceremony was held at the Donegal Presbyterian Church in Mount Joy on Sunday, April 20, 2008, with about 50 Boy Scouts, family and friends in attendance.
Six of Troops 53’s most recent Eagle Scouts joined with other Eagle Scouts in the audience to deliver the Eagle Charge and join with Patrick in the Eagle Scout Oath, rededicating themselves to the ideals of Scouting. The Award was pinned by his parents and Scoutmaster Mark Rorabaugh presented him with an Eagle neckerchief and a commemorative hiking stick with medallions representing all of his scouting ranks and accomplishments. The formal ceremony was followed by refreshments and socializing.
